His music is vital because it kept the local dialect and the ironic spirit of his city alive. Marasco was beloved for his satirical, humorous, and often irreverent songs, through which he recounted daily life and the most authentic identity of Florence.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">For his significant cultural contribution, he received prestigious awards such as the <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"86\">Perseo d\u2019oro<\/b> and the <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"107\">Valentino Giannotti Prize<\/b>. Among his most famous tracks are <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"167\">&#8220;L&#8217;alluvione&#8221;<\/b> (The Flood), which recounts the tragic events of 1966 with bitter irony, and cheerful songs like <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"278\">&#8220;La lallera&#8221;<\/b> and <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"295\">&#8220;La Teresina.&#8221;<\/b> Through his guitar and his voice, Marasco succeeded in introducing Tuscan folk traditions to younger generations.
